“They drink blood, why don’t you just call them vampires?”
It’s a valid question in The Shop’s trailer for Fox’s The Passage, about a secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure for all disease, but also carries the potential to wipe out the human race.
The series stars Amy Bellafonte as a young girl chosen as a test subject for Project Noah, and Mark-Paul Gosselaar as the federal agent tasked with bringing her in, but who decides to protect her instead.
For the trailer, The Shop was asked to highlight the more frightening, genre-aspects of the show, and used the mention of vampires and tense sound design to bring those fears to life.
The Passage premieres January 14 on Fox.
