Things are about to get sweaty in the “one and only aerobic comedy” from Pop.
Let’s Get Physical stars Matt Jones as Joe Force, a middle-aged slacker who re-enters the fitness industry when his father dies and donates his $8 billion inheritance to to the winning gym of the National Aerobics Championships.
While set in the present day, the show leans into ‘80s-era nostalgia with an impressive display of bandannas and bodysuits.
The series also stars Jane Seymor as Joe’s mother Janet, who takes the reins of the business in order to protect the family legacy, using information and manipulation to guarantee things go her way.
As the competition heats up, Joe must face his archrival Barry Cross (Chris Diamantopoulos, Silicon Valley), and his teenage love Claudia (AnnaLynne McCord, Secrets & Lies, 90210, Nip/Tuck), who is now Barry’s wife.
Let’s Get Physical is created by Connor Pritchard (Workaholics) and Dan and Ben Newmark (Gigi Does It). It premieres January 24 at 8:30 p.m. on Pop.
