With nearly two decades of experience in broadcast promotion, Bex Schwartz has joined Cause+Effect as the agency’s executive creative director, where she will help expand the company’s social media and content strategy.
Schwartz most recently served as creative director at Alkemy X, where she led the social media strategy for the podcast “Missing Richard Simmons” as well as campaigns for Syfy’s rebrand and 25th anniversary.
“Bex has an incredibly fun style and the kind of irreverent and powerful voice that’s necessary to cut through the abundance of contet out there today,” Cause+Effect Managing Partner Jason Zemlicka said in a statement.
The executive also spent 12 years at Viacom, working on a diverse range of promo content across MTV, VH1, Logo and Nickelodeon. She started off at VH1, writing and producing promo content across the network’s top series.
Her experience spans writing, directing, producing and social strategy for promos across a myriad of genres, and she takes an integrated approach to building worlds for brands that entertain audiences.
“I am constantly impressed with her creativity, leadership skills and ability to breathe life into a project and make something great every time,” Cause+Effect Chief Creative Officer Jamie Hubbard said in a statement. “Her experience on both the network side and the client side makes her the perfect person to help take our strategy for social media campaigns, branded content and content creation even further.”
Schwartz said she’s looking forward to joining a future-facing company that understands the importance of not staying stagnant, and continuing to evolve the creative process in an ever-changing industry.
“They are awesome people to work with who are always thinking about where to go from here,” she said, “and I’m supremely excited to join this amazing group.”
