SportsBusiness Journal ​reports that on the heels of a lucrative media rights deal with ESPN, emboldened ACC officials are setting their sites on an even bigger prize: their own league-branded network. Though ESPN remains mum on whether it’s on-board for the new network, ACC execs tout a recent study by the Wasserman Media Group showing games broadcast by the league reach more than 43 million viewers along the eastern US coast, more than other collegiate leagues.
