Discovery Communications announced today that Stephanie Fried has joined the company’s Digital Media group as VP of digital insights and marketing. Fried was formerly VP of research insights and analytics at VEVO.
In her new role, Fried will lead both audience and sales research across Discovery’s digital properties, optimizing digital platforms and developing growth-oriented marketing strategies.
“The crux of our digital strategy rests on creating compelling content that our audiences love while simultaneously serving our advertising clients, and research plays a critical role in ensuring that our offerings meet this high standard,” said Guhan Selvaretnam, SVP of digital media, to whom Fried will report. “Stephanie has a proven track record of dissecting insights, with a keen expertise in online video and multiplatform offerings, to create actionable strategies and strong results. We are thrilled to welcome her to the Discovery family.”
