In Netflix’s The Innocents, teenaged lovers Harry (Percelle Ascott) and June (Sorcha Groundsell) are running away from their repressive families when a rare ability of June’s come to the forefront: her ability to shape-shift. But at the beginning, it’s less an ability than a condition to be dealt with since she doesn’t understand it and can’t control it.
When they meet mysterious Dr. Halvorson (Guy Pierce), they are briefly given hope. But things soon become more complicated than either of them ever expected.
Elaine Pyke, Charlie Pattinson, and Willow Grylls of UK-based New Pictures serve as executive producers, along with Farren Blackburn, who also directed six of the eight episodes.
The Innocents drops on Netflix on Aug 24.
