Being able to drive a golf ball a long way involves much more than just stepping up to the tee and whacking away, it requires long hours of sweat and determination to build the power needed to compete in golf’s World Long Drive Championship.

This spot by creative agency Charlie Company reveals just that, showing athletes hard at work behind the scenes, lifting, pushing, pulling and above all, sweating as they prepare for the competition.

Charlie Co.’s image campaign for the Golf Channel was shot in one day over two locations with six of the top competitors coming in from around the world. Along with shooting elements for the image spot, a vast amount of additional media was acquired including player interviews, social content, and video portraits.

The six-month Long Drive event schedule culminates with the Volvik World Long Drive Championship Aug. 31 - Sept. 6 on Golf Channel.
